You should not step out this summer, without these skin care products in your bag!
When the warm weather started soaring up, you strip off those heavy comforters, your sweaters, boots etc. At the same time, you may want to change your skincare routine as well. If your face isn’t showing any signs of worry or distress, you may need not to do anything. However, since summer days are usually hot, you have to rightly choose the skin products. Here are some skin care products which should be in your bag before stepping out.
Protect your lips
The sun rays will dry up the delicate lip tissues. A richly textured lip balm with an SPF 15 or higher is a must when outdoors. You have to reapply regularly to have luscious lips. Pick your favorite product of your choice. Choose a product which can keep your lips hydrated. It will be of additional value if you can choose an ultra-protection stick which can be used on rest of your face to shield the sun rays.
Take care of scalps
A sensitive skin along the hairline are prone to harmful UVA and UVB rays. Always have a sunscreen spray with you. The sprays are more powerful than that of cream because the latter is harder to absorb and you can still burn.
Powder your nose
Ever thought of this, and yes, it is true. You may not want to wash your face every time you sweat or get it dirty. By doing this you may end up redoing your makeup. Instead, powder your face with a mineral-rich product which has at least SPF 50. This will provide a sheer coverage and protection conveniently from dust.
Treat sun spots
Dark blemishes on the forehead, cheeks and upper lip are very common during summer and it will appear in its peak. Applying a fade cream will help you protect from those skin spots. However, ask your dermatologist for a prescription, and they will be able to guide you the right product.
Try tinted lotion
Tinted lotions, available at drugstores can be a good option during the summer heat. The formulations of these products are based on skin color. A bit of shine in the lotion makes bare skin smoother. A shimmery moisturizer can enhance your mile-long legs when you are on a beach. This way you can love your legs. This lotion not only makes your legs beautiful but also reflects those sun rays.
Go easy on the eyes
The summer rays can be very harsh on the delicate skin around the eyes. Choose an eye cream which contains a human growth factor and antioxidants to help prevent and even reverse wrinkles. Choose the product which has a light texture and is fast absorbing in the skin. This is necessary during the hot and humid days of summer. A wide hat will also help to protect from sun rays from every angle, is a good way of preventing those harmful sun rays.
Get the help from CC cream
You would have heard about ever-popular BB cream, but this summer try using CC – color correcting cream. This product has a layer of broad-spectrum formula with SPF 30 or higher under the cream. This product also acts as a multitasker because of its ingredients which are essential for those tend to get brown spots from excessive sun exposure. While SPF 15 or 20 is good for day to day wear, CC acts as an additional sunscreen. They can be even used in addition to your lightweight makeup, hydration, and broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection.
Eliminate excess exfoliation
While spending lots of time outside there are good chances that the dead skin mix with sweat and sebum will give entry to clogged pores. Removing the top, dead layer of skin may have a brighter complexion, but on the other hand, it can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Have a gentle scrub with the smooth particles once or twice a week.
This is more or less to be done at home rather outside, here is this DIY recipe to make your own body scrub. This acts as a cleanser than the regular scrub for exfoliation.
In a small bowl, mix a half cup of finely grained sea salt, half cup of finely ground coffee, and quarter cup sesame oil and half spoon of eucalyptus oils. Use this mixture as a scrub in the shower. Massage to the damp skin with long and firm semicircular movements. Rinse well.
